Planting Begins for Spring!

We have just started planting our perennial plants in order to be ready for the Spring!

Every year while it is still cold outside and sometimes with snow on the ground, we start to see the first signs of Spring--plants growing in our greenhouses!  Our perennial manager Polly has been spending the past few months researching trends in perennials and doing all the ordering for the Spring season.  Included in these orders are new plants as well as new varieties of the plants you know and love.  

The orders are just starting to come in and our perennial staff are busily planting them into thousands of 4 1/2" and gallon pots.  By the end of January our large greenhouse will be filled with young perennials and over the next few months we will be taking very good care of these plants and ensuring they grow to become large, healthy plants.  We will also be getting them ready to go outside of the greenhouse in late March, but before then we will be having our Perennial Sale which actually takes place inside of the greenhouse!  At this sale you can get great discounts on all the perennials and get a head start on your gardening for Spring.
